I'm not a network specialist at all. But I can't imagine a sustainable solution for the drop out problem could be ipv4 instead of ipv6. The latter is the future. All Internet providers have already or are in process to shift to ipv6.
it is always IPV4, even it is stacked through IPV6 !

for me it works:
setting modem to IPV4 - no dropouts. setting modem to IPV6 - dropouts.

Is there a solution visible on the horizon already?
My Provider has found the problem:
Dropouts if your provider use IPV6, No dropouts if you use IPV4
Tested, no dropouts yet using IPV4
I'm HAPPY !!!

Geachte heer ...,
I am in Switzerland, to answer a question, which was asked a few days ago.... (And Switzerland is not Sweden but also in Europe........ :-) :-) :-)...). sorry for my sarcastic humor.....
It is interesting that another Bluesound-user in my neighbour-hood has not the problem... but he is using a bluesound Soundbar......I dont know, if this is decisive, for not having the problem. I have the problem here on all my bluesound devices (Pulse Flex and on Node 2).
Bill, we all love you and RP. Hope you can fix it soon.....
Is Bluesound not interested to support you with the fix? I think they should, particularly because Sonos is catching up,.. or is this their revenge to RP, because you cooperate now with Sonos too?.......
Best regards. raoul
It is not only Bluesound problem , it is also in other devices , see other thread:
Just got a new Bluesound Node 2i (my first bluesound product) and dismayed that Iâm getting the same dropouts. 2-3 seconds every 10-30 seconds or so. Iâm in London, UK

Yes I am in Europe. It seems a bit better, but there are still dropouts now and then. Why don't I face the problem when using my Android mobile? Seems to be a problem with buffering. The dropouts are only 2-3s each.
A few days ago Radio Paradise started to drop out every ~5-10s for 2-3s. This makes it rather unusable with the Radio Paradise app that is included in the firmware of the PulseFlex2i. The same stream has no issue at all when using the TuneIn app instead which is not as comfortable as the native Radio Paradise app. It does not seem to be related to WiFi, which was my first approach. It also happens when connected via Ethernet cable, although less frequently.
It seems that buffering is not working properly anymore on the Bluesound device. When I use the Android app on my mobile there are no such problems. Did anything change on your side recently?
Are you in Europe? We've gotten several complaints like this from European listeners. We're trying a possible solution. See if it's better today.
