Is there a way to download and store caches of the RP mixes on a Pi setup using the Squeeze and PiCorePlayer?

I’m trying to store the cache and play back later when I am out of range of internet access. In particular, on my sailboat. Ive been using my old iPhone with the RP app on it, but keeping the iPhone charged is challenging. The cords and connections are just not reliable. Thanks in advance -

I've been trying to get Radio Paradise working on my Raspberry Pi 3. The stream links work fine in the standard Chromium web browser, but the main RP website does not. When I select the mix I want, play starts but I don't hear anything. The links work fine, but you don't get to see what is playing. My Raspberry Pi is a standard build with an IQaudIO Pi-DAC Pro attached. I use this with JRiver Mediacenter as a media server. It would be great if I could use the Radio Paradise website as well. Any help would be much appreciated.

You can use max2play (https://www.max2play.com/) or picoreplayer (https://www.picoreplayer.org/) which are complete images for the Raspberry Pi.
On these players you can add the Logitech Media Server which have a plug-in for Radio Paradise.
In this way you can enjoy the FLAC interactive features of the station!
The most easy way to control your player is using the Android app 'Squeeze Ctrl' (including the artwork).
I am using this solution for a few years now and I am very happy with it.
In addition you can add the old Squeezebox devices (SB Radio, SB Touch) to the LMS to expand your music home system.

That won't work for offline listening, though (as per the original post). For that, you'd need to be running our Android app on your Pi via an emulator or a Pi-complied Android distribution. That's theoretically possible, but I've never tried it.

Dedicating an old phone or tablet to the task would be a lot simpler.

You probably need to add AAC support. Perhaps via the ffmpeg package. Ask around about playing AAC streams on Pi/Chromium. Or you can try setting the bitrate on our player to 'flac'.

just a suggestion:
streamripper http://stream.radioparadise.com/mellow-192  -o always -T

currently about 6Gb for mellow, and 4Gb for eclectic and rock
