Non sequitur

If or when the threat becomes negligible, there would be no reason to continue taking shots.

That doesn't change the good sense of taking shots when the threat is high like in a pandemic.

Good sense is bringing an umbrella on your commute because it is raining.

Mandating remote workers or anyone to get repeatedly injected for what is as mild as the flu - that is full-on over-reach.

The Democrats will suffer, people will vote for republicans, and people will lose trust in doctors and medicine and pharma.

Less mild = more severe.

Regardless, old(er) people can die from a nasty flu variant. And they can choose to vaccinate.

COVID causes a range of problems, aside from killing people, in a sufficiently large share of a population.

Omicron's now as mild as the common cold for most Australians

  • Aussies should get boosted against virus to ward off future strains, expert said
  • Omicron's harmfulness has largely been suppressed by high vaccination levels
  • UK data shows Omicron's death rate now very similar per 100,000 cases to flu
  • Deakin University's Professor Catherine Bennett said vaccination is still vital
  • 'Just because this strain is milder doesn't mean the next will be,' she warned

If you're vaccinated. If you're not, it might still hospitalize, kill you, etc.

Vaccine = less chance of severe outcomes.

Omicron's now as mild as the common cold for most Australians - so why are Covid experts worried ahead of winter?
