My Better Half wants to travel, but I managed to talk her into waiting a couple of weeks, to see what the response is to the (premature) opening of things. If the death rate starts back up, then itâs Spanish Flu and weâre all gonna die from this sort of idiocy. If the rate keeps dropping then itâs the seasonal influenza and itâll be OK to move around - for the time being.

I get the way it works now. The lines can be easily and casually moved for responsibility of authorities actions dependent on one's opinion of the action and political lense. Don't like the action, it was Trump's fault or the Democratic local leadership's fault. Approve of said action, it was Trump's idea or the Democratic local leadership's idea. Looks like a win-win-lose-lose proposition that of course always leads back to the beginning, fingers on full point at the other with no ground gained. I agree with you on this, but ... there is a dimension of this that is rapidly growing.

There are governors and mayors who are now saying that they will keep their jurisdictions closed / locked down until there is a vaccine.

This will not end well.
