Why do you trust Fauci?

Ok, probably not actually coined. Ya got me.
Of course I read it.

I'm sure you do, but that's not scientific evidence. It's going to be more cherry picking (see confirmation bias).

Also, if you read the article I was supposed to read, you'd know he didn't coin the phrase. Did you actually read it?

I do believe I can find some examples in History.

Now,  slightly off topic, explain to me how - in many restaurants - one must come in with a mask on their face but take it off to eat, (and don't even say distancing)  how exactly does that control the virus? On all commercial flights, one must don the mask in this TINY environment but when the snacks come out it's okay to take it off.  How does that work?

There are some great points made by comedians.  For instance, I'd be willing to bet that you like George Carlin's takes on many controversial things.

Joe Rogan, Russell Brand, Jimmy Dole, check them out without your bias and see what you think.

George Carlin would hopefully be skeptical of injecting the Herd, he would ask since when does the government want to help you.

Why would anyone take that source seriously?

Lol

so I'll guess, you get most of your info from NPR or local news on TV and web.

from those sources have we learned anything?
hundreds of thousands of stories about cases and deaths, counts, vaccines

at the end does it say anything?
what's the narrative? It's all confusing and there is no data yet but good earnest officials are diligently working and nothing is known but it's all good, everything is going well, no news yet, but it's all good.

If you call that news. Sounds like noise.

What if your leader is Joe Rogan or even Animal-Farm? Same rules? Do you question their narrative?

So most of us have grown out of adolescence where we just reflexively push back against authority figures. There’s frequently a reason that experts are considered just that. They know more than you do. People don’t like to hear that because they think we’re all exactly alike - but that’s a fantasy. If you knew more, it’s because you studied the topic at length, understood the background and nuances and practicalities of the topic - but not because you’re imagining a different idea. (Hint: science has already thought of the different ideas and discarded them as wrong.)

Sadly, America has developed a habit of thinking ignorance is a positive quality. What it really means: it’s an ignorance of reality and the contrary “yeah, but” opinion is irrelevant since it’s based in nothing but fantasy, daydreaming, and includes childish attention-seeking. “Lookitme, I’m smrt.”

We will have to agree to disagree. You might call me sheep and I might call you sheep.
I believe mainstream media to be utterly corrupt parroting, as you say, the government's propaganda.
You believe anyone outside the official narrative is uneducated and ill informed? Talk about normalcy bias.
