Honestly, seeing the images and reading the stories from out there was truly gutwrenching. Hearing Paradise, CA made it ten times worse â I immediately thought of you guys. Glad to hear you don't live there anymore, and you guys are safe, and your friends and family are safe as well; still, seeing those images from your former home has to be nothing short of heartbreaking.

Like many listeners here I am so relieved to hear that both you and Rebecca are safe and sound. My heart goes out to those who have lost their homes and in so many cases their friends.

Our friend and her family escaped with some pictures, documents and their pets according to a FB post this morning. Their house is gone, but they are ok. Patty's family goes back to grand parents in Paradise in the 20's. Very sad times.
Spoke with my cousin in Sacto for about an hour and they basically cannot go outside. The sky there is orange. He went to school up there and is really concerned about a wind shift and the steep deep canyons lighting up like jet engines and heading east up in The Sierra. Nothing there and nothing to stop it. Could burn until the snow falls if it goes in that direction.
Very sad situation. We've heard from several friends who have lost everything, but all made it out OK.
Many people are still missing. We suspect the fatality count will go up. The pictures and video are really hard to watch.

I ear from the noticies about the forest fires in Paradise, Chico, California. I hope you guys Bill & Rebecca are okay as well as your structure has not been affected. A hug of solidarity for you and everyone in California. I am well aware of the overwhelming effects of these events.
Thanks for letting us know you guys are OK. Not sure if youâd realize it, but a lot of total strangers think of you and Rebecca almost like part of our family.

I read R&B no longer live in Paradise - perhaps they now live in a listener-funded Kauai estate? Cynical? Perhaps. Then again I've been given the impression for the last ~10 years these two were living in an area that represented a holistic, user-funded lifestyle. Perhaps not the case?
