Radio Paradise

Never thought that any communication with the two of you would be likely to reach subjects beyond music and, perhaps, royalty issues at times....

But as the fire rages, it becomes personal.

You did yourselves, and us, a favor when you left commercial broadcasting and allowed your listeners to support you at their own discretion.

This is a personal "thank you" for the quality of your choices, in many ways.

And, despite never having met you, I'm very glad that you are ok.

I actually heard "Paradise, California" on the network news tonight and my heart skipped a beat. They said the entire town was evacuated. Stay safe and don't go back for anything!

Holy Carp, i just saw this on my news feed! As much as we depend on you, we'll be fine without you if necessary. Grab the dogs, laptop(s) and split. Heck, forget the laptops...

The big fire here in Bastrop killed one of my wife's coworkers. He and his fiancee were packing up the animals and such. He sent her ahead in her car, and went back for 'just one more thing'.
We were about 5 miles east of the fire and never really in danger, but it was scary. Google 'Luecke' on google earth and you can see roughly where we were.

Many folks in our new neighborhood lost everything. An older couple up the street lost a fortune in artwork collected since the 60's.
