Search for "time is" and it's only hit on once, when Wallace says it to stop Biden from saying more. Once, Biden says, "do I get my time back?" for obvious reasons.
My bad, fixed.
I'm not talking about the current debate. I was referring to the Democratic candidate debates earlier this year.
yeah, I try to watch both parties, get my knowledge first hand, not having to rely on pundit's summaries and all the editing that removes the context.

And that a large number of their members are black & Hispanic ... ?
Citation please.
So our local news / talk afternoon drive guy had a local member on his show this afternoon and spoke about what exactly The Proud Boys is really about. The are not White Supremacists. Their membership is very diverse with about 20% black men as well as men of all colors, representing pretty much the diversity of the USA's population. Among other things they will not initiate any violence, but will not hesitate to defend themselves if attacked and without restraint. They want to end things quickly and if people get hurt, too bad so sad. Don't attack them.
It is sad when I searched Google for "the proud boys website" it did not show up until the second search page. Yeah, Google, unbiased ...
I offer no opinion on them one way or another. I am very familiar with founder McInnis, having seen him as an frequent guest on FBN's Kennedy show which had a libertarian POV. Do remember, McInnis is also one of the founders of the Vice Media.
So have a look. The represent everything you despise.
Do we really want to not see what Trump is really like?
Most have probably seen quite enough. Others see what they want to see.
Works for me in this round of debates for this particular election cycle. Quite frankly, Trump blew it by interrupting Biden just as he was about to ramble into incoherence several times.
Having watched Trump first hand unlike most of you here, he does make adjustments. He did a great job making the necessary adjustments during the 2016 debates.
The adjustment I was hoping to see was no interruptions with the purpose of totally throwing Biden off of his game which is expecting a food fight and not getting one. How many times during the Democratic candidate debates earlier this year did we see Biden look at the clock and stop in the middle of a sentence and say "Oh, my time is up" and stop talking. Can Biden perform without a confrontation ?
Who knows ... the next debate is supposed to be a Town Hall format. The big problem I see looking at this is that the moderator is a former Biden staffer. I will expect spit balls thrown at Trump while Biden gets nice juicy slow ones over the plate designed for home runs.
It's a major headache for a broadcast. For instance, turning off the mic won't stop someone from talking loudly and disrupting the other person's rejoinder - even though folks at home won't be able to hear what they're saying. Someone suggested an earpiece that feeds back what they say delayed by a few seconds, but although that might work it'll also lead to "they're feeding him the answers."
Do we really want to not see what Trump is really like? I disagree that there shouldn't be more debates. Or that he should be buffered in some way. Let him speak, be challenged, respond, be chaotic. That - and only that - has the chance of swaying his base or undecideds away from him.
Biden: Oh baloney. Antifa is an idea, not an organization. I heard it means anti-fascist, in which case heck, sign me up. And anyhow who hasnât thrown urine at an old lady on a bad day? The Antifas are just like you and me.
OK...he's wearing a wire. It is in his shirt somewhere...there's something near his hand...he's definitely wired! Wired for what? Morse code? If he's not getting instruction in his ear, what exactly is the wire doing for him?
Oh BTW... you've spent months suggesting Biden's intellectual capacity is diminished. The notion of the wire is that he's diminished. If he is wired and somehow can translate signals to answers with Trump bloviating next to him, he's the most intellectually gifted man alive.
Physicist says imaging techniques prove the president's bulge was not caused by wrinkled clothing.
George W. Bush tried to laugh off the bulge. "I don't know what that is," he said on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, referring to the infamous protrusion beneath his jacket during the presidential debates. "I'm embarrassed to say it's a poorly tailored shirt."
Dr. Robert M. Nelson, however, was not laughing. He knew the president was not telling the truth. And Nelson is neither conspiracy theorist nor midnight blogger. He's a senior research scientist for NASA and for Caltech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and an international authority on image analysis. Currently he's engrossed in analyzing digital photos of Saturn's moon Titan, determining its shape, whether it contains craters or canyons.

Yes, it really did feel like that. But the whole Trump presidency seems like it's a free-f0rm adaptation of a Batman (The Dark Knight) movie.
I miss Burgess Meredith. He must have had a lot of fun playing The Penguin. And Mickey the crusty trainer in "Rocky." And the foul-mouthed dad in "Grumpy Old Men."
I watched the whole thing, as I usually do. Upon a mention regarding Trump interrupting Biden, it was Biden who did the first interruption in the debate and opened that door first. At the beginning, Trump spoke his first two minutes uninterrupted and Biden did as well. Then when it was Trump's turn to reply, Biden interrupted Trump 3 times and started the decline of the debate with all of his interruptions and direct name calling of Trump calling him a "clown" and even telling him to "Shut Up". How presidential. Isn't the rap on Trump that he does not behave in a presidential manner ? But it's OK for Biden ? Hypocrite.
And all you do is focus on Trump, who was given the green light by Biden to do as he did.
Don't believe me about the beginning ? Here, from C-SPAN. It starts at about 29.30. Watch and get back to me, eh ? .
Again, I freely admit that I didn't watch the whole debate. I watched a 5:40ish summary of highlights (really, lowlights) of the debate.
Given the high stakes of political debates, it's pretty natural and common that candidates will interrupt each other. Both Biden and Trump interrupted the other man. Both men insulted the other.
But Trump was far worse. That's the thrust of most MSM reports on the debate.
Slate.com has provided evidence of Trump's and Biden's misbehavior to back up my understanding of the reports on the debate. Here:
Tuesday nightâs presidential debate was not the first one featuring Trump to feel more like a schoolyard taunting contest than an actual debate. But even so, it stood out for one key metric: the sheer number of interruptions.
By my count, Trump interrupted former Vice President Joe Biden or debate moderator Chris Wallace at least 128 times. This number dwarfed the 51 times Trump interrupted Hillary Clinton during the first presidential debate in 2016. For his part, Biden interrupted dozens of timesâat various points either trying to get a word in edgewise or correct flat lies by the presidentâbut his interruptions were no match for Trumpâs.
Wallaceâs efforts to control the debate were valiant, but ultimately futile. Trump interrupted both men during both questions and answers. He muttered snide remarks under his breath. He talked over the moderator and his opponent. And he just plain cut them off over and over again. Wallace asked the president at least 25 times to stop interrupting and obey the debate rules: âSir, youâre debating him, not me. Let me ask my question.â âPlease let the vice president talk.â âYouâve made your point. Please let him answer.â âYouâve agreed to two minutes, please let him have it.â âNo, no, no Mr. President.â âMr.âPresident Trump, President Trump, the interruptions.â When Wallace said, âMr. President, can you let him finish, sir?â and Biden replied, âHe doesnât know how to do that,â Trump interrupted in response to being asked to stop interrupting: âYouâd be surprised, youâd be surprised. Go ahead, talk, Joe, talk.â
At one point, Wallace noted that Trumpâs campaign had agreed to a rule that allowed each candidate two minutes to answer a question before an open debate period, and that Trump was flagrantly violating that rule. At another point, there was this surreal exchange:
Chris Wallace: (25:09) We have six segments. We have ended that segment. Weâre going to go to the next segment. In that segment, you each are going to have two uninterrupted moments. In those two interrupted minutes, Mr. President, you can say anything you want. Iâm going to ask a question about race, but if you want to answer about something else, go ahead. But I think that the country would be better served, if we allowed both people to speak with fewer interruptions. Iâm appealing to you, sir, to do that.
President Donald J. Trump: (25:37) Well, and him too.
Chris Wallace: (25:38) Well, frankly, youâve been doing more interrupting than he has.
President Donald J. Trump: (25:40) Well, thatâs all right, but he does plenty.
President Donald J. Trump: (25:43) He does plenty.
Chris Wallace: (25:43) No, less than you have. Letâs please continue on.
Side note: I copied and pasted that excerpt of the debate from the transcript here . The Slate.com article provides a tweet from PBS Newshour that includes a shorter transcript excerpt and a video clip.
As for your claim that Biden "started the decline of the debate" with interruptions and insults:
Vice President Joe Biden: (18:18) Will you shut up, man?
Vice President Joe Biden: (23:59) Well, itâs hard to get any word in with this clown. Excuse me, this person.
The transcript shows that Trump was constantly interrupting Biden by the time Biden asked Trump to shut up—and that was well into the debate. And Biden did apologize for using the word "clown" at 23:59, although Trump DESERVED the insult with his interruptions, repeated inability and refusal to answer questions and personal digs directed at Biden.
I can't recall Biden being taken to task for misbehavior during the 2008 primary debates or the 2012 VP debates or the endless 2016 primary debates. Trump made interruptions and insults HIS CALLING CARD during the 2016 primary and presidential debates. Viewers were also nauseated by his misbehavior during the 2016 debates with HRC.
Was the debate an ugly mess of interruptions and name-calling. Yes, and both men were responsible. But Trump misbehaved far more. Just ask Chris Wallace.
I watched a five minute summary of the Biden-Trump debate. Wallace could barely keep Trump on track and restrained from interrupting Biden. You need a panel of 3-4 moderators to force Trump to debate and behave like a mature adult.
