Fixed a couple of issues affecting the window sizing & display layout — especially on the MS browsers.

Some versions of MS Edge aren't properly sizing the player window. You can now resize the window manually until it looks right.

I think that you have built the better mousetrap !  Win7 / Chrome here.  Seems intuitive, so easy to work around some of these early issues to get what you (me) wants.  I love the choices for playing from the library, and its a wonderful payoff for all these years of rating songs.  Haven't tried anything but my favorites so far, but yeah, sofa king ...

Never really did the slideshow before, just cuz I play the stream from Foobar and have the website up all the time.  But that will change with this feature.  Have to finally get Roku or something to make the leap to the TV.

Feature request for the slideshow.  A 'hide buttons', button and keyboard commands to restore the buttons and one for skip.  Similar to hitting escape to go from full screen to the original page.  Hit 'Enter' or 'Escape' to restore the buttons and ' Spacebar' for skip ?   And keeping the buttons from popping back up on the screen when you hit the spacebar.  Don't need to see buttons until you want to and keep the visual presentation ongoing without the unnecessary visual distraction and the need to physically rehide the buttons. That would be really sweet.

I'm sure that the rest will fall into place as it usually does.

Oh and is it me or is the sound better playing from the library than the live stream ?  Just playing straight off the server from the library would naturally have to sound better, is my thought.

I'll consider a 'hide buttons' option.

As for the sound, it's definitely different from the stream. That will vary from song to song. Overall I'd say it sounds better, but it's very much a subjective thing.

is there a preferred method of tuning in?

is it better/cost effective, better technically to listen from shoutcast(or other service) or directly from rp?

i use shoutcast (and from my mobile xiia live) quite a bit

why? convenience of multiple stations at my fingertips

Yes, I'm aware of that one.  It really does accept the rating, but there's a data object that isn't getting updated properly. Should be fixed soon.

I find the Show Song and Artist Info a bit jarring. First, when you hover over the  artist name/title, it wasn't intuitive to me that it was clickable and the pop-up explanation looked like it needed to be clicked - maybe tie that to the cursor position and turn the title text blue rather than yellow. But maybe it's just me.

On my computer Chrome W-10, the song info box that pops up is cut off at the top and the lower left corner is rounded but the lower right is square which looks strange. Maybe it would be nice if the box could be re-positioned. I think it would look better if you made it's background semi-transparent so the slideshow peeks through.

Without the slideshow on, I would shrink the RP logo and move the album art up so it doesn't overlap the song info (at least it does the way it starts up on my computer).

Sounds like there might be some Windows-specific layout problems (album art should never overlap the song title, corners should all be rounded, etc.). I'll look into that as soon as I can.

Lemmee try a rewrite:

Gotcha.  I wasn't looking on the slideshow view.  I agree. Nothing is the proper action.

Double-clicking on Listener supported etc, in between tunes does nothing, though selects the logo again.  Perhaps on mouse-over, a pop-up saying "RP is listener supported, click for more info and/or to send us support" or whatever verbiage makes sense / is simple.

I'm not sure I'm following you on that first one.

Yes, we will be linking to the support page during breaks. That's not in place yet.

I just built an El Capitan hackintosh and tried out the shiny new RP3 beta player on Safari. Seems to work well without any issues. Very cool!

..........
Speaking of adding things to the PSD list...

Different to me means something that either a) hasn't been played in a long time, like a year or more... or b) something that's never played.

Can you add a button for that category?

I'll probably be adding a volume control.  As noted already, just click the heart next to the song title to rate.

Yeah, I'm going to work on window scaling. You'll be able to resize them to whatever you want & keep the settings.  That'll probably happen toward the end of May (it's a busy month!).
