Well there is not a journal option anymore so I'll say it here.

It's been 1096 days since I felt I just couldn't anymore. I just could not imagine going on. The reasons are unimportant, but I made and nearly pulled off one of my worst ideas and decisions yet.

There's been a meme on FB about suicide and sticks. Odd choice... sticks I mean but whatever works.

On that not just let me say that if someone in that state does reach out to you, please do not respond with the complete indifference I got when I called a "friend" that day.

Thank you to the ones who saw my behavior for what it was and chose to help me when I couldn't help myself.

You know who you are and I would not be here if not for you.

Another plus for the journals.  I do get the complications they add to the overall website.   For some reason though, I believe that they have helped to keep this place what it is and it may have been even more diminished without them with the rise of Facebook and all.

I've been wondering about how much the Forum is actually a marketing tool to attract and retain new listeners.  People stumble on to this place, see a very comprehensive website with all kinds of things to get involved with.  The song comments are definitely an integral part of keeping a handle on listener tastes.

Without a doubt, RP is a sound business model for this kind of enterprise.  But Internet radio as we like it is seriously threatened with the Sound Exchange problem.  Just have a sad feeling about the future here now.  It's starting to look like a fun while it lasted kinda thing.

Sorry for the attempt at humor. I just realized that RP has stopped the Journals. That's what I get for commenting on something that I had no idea occurred. I think I'll miss the journals. In the past I read quite a few and even posted several.

The problem of course is the trolls. It just gets old having my blood pressure go up when someone is being rude and nasty. I can handle differences of opinion, but the nastiness and pointless vitriol is not needed in my life.

It's a shame when something has to be dumbed down to the lowest common denominator.

Just wear a mask when you are posting to maintain anonymity.

If posting in the toxic political forums, you might want to consider this type:
