He wouldn't fly.
Ziggy would never perform again.
He did a hits tour I saw where he said it was the last time he would play the hit songs (not true).

Then, "David Bowie" who, really, doesn't look that unhealthy - suddenly is announced as dead from more than a year of liver cancer.

There can't help but be a small - albeit pathetic - hope that David Jones has decided to live the rest of his life out of the limelight after his on stage heart attack, and has declared "David Bowie" dead.

Liver cancer, I'd think, would cause significant wasting and maybe jaundice (depending). Here he is in December - having had cancer for more than a year, presumably. Here's the last photo (although, of course, it could be staged and makeup'd past reality.) My point is that he doesn't look like a Stage 4 liver cancer patient.

For instance, here's the end of Ziggy.

And, at the LSU concert I saw after Heroes (and you can find the bootleg online) he does tunes from Ziggy and says at the end, "Goodbye Ziggy."

So there's a small hope, still, that Bowie is dead but Jones is alive.
