I made a submission 2-3 months ago and it has no votes at all.

Also the new/maybe/sorry/added buttons in My Submissions have never worked for me which I didn't mind at first but with the growing number of past submissions it would be nice to be able to use them.
Hmmm... seem to have let this - & a couple of other thoughtful bug reports - fall through the cracks. Very sorry about that. I'll be spending some time on this in a couple of weeks.

Beaker wrote: Uploaded a new-to-RP tune and discovered, it seems, the upload song title field doesn't like the + symbol in the song name. Weird things happened - wrong YouTube album cover link was displayed in the uploaded listing, and even the album art url to an image file was not displaying the image - instead: "no image".
Changed the '+' to the word 'and ' then all was well - the Youtube and album art image corrected themselves.
Thanks. Will fix.

I have submitted some songs using this new system and it was easy to do. It would be nice if RP is able to make a Spotify list from the submitted songs. Then I could listen to them in one move/mouse click instead of opening/starting every song manually. Now I notice that I only vote on the songs I already know. I believe more people do this because the more known tracks receive more and faster votes.
The second thing is that I would like to make the 'new' view the default view instead of the popular view. With the popular view the usual suspects that receive votes more easy are getting a second boost while the more rare and maybe very nice songs are ignored by most listeners.
Also the list seems to be very large. There is no 'sliding window' like in the old process. After some time (2 weeks?) Bill should make a final statement and the song should be removed from the list.
The last thing is that I think Bill has a certain personal view on the music he plays here. I don't say thats wrong, because the site/radio is a big success so obviously he is doing excelent work. But I would like to see a more democratic process. Why not remove the first filter process and let the user decide about the quality of the submission? Bill has the final decission obviously but he might be influenced when the actual listener really likes a certain submission while Bill would instinctively decide to say no on the first glance.
Edit: I think I found a bug within the edit submission process. I tried to change the thumbnail. The link changes and gets saved, but the shown thumbnail stays the same.

I was wondering if a Bandcamp link could be one of the options in the future? I know many indie artists have their music (or at least most album tracks) only there. I think they have an embed option too.

Not that my song suggestions are all that important... but I noticed that the newest submission since Saturday has been Toto's "Africa," and I can't hep but think that other listeners have tried to load new submissions since then as well.
Submissions are not immediately visible. They go through an initial review process, and are then either immediately added, declined, or added to the user-review list (status: "maybe").

I clicked the Submit Song button and nothing seemed to happen, so I clicked it again. Apparently it was half-way through processing the first one, as it appears to have butchered the first submission. The OCD freak within me would like the second one deleted, though might be worth seeing whether you can replicate the problem - looks like it's specific to if you interrupt the page while it's in the process of stripping-out the important bits from the YouTube embed. OK. Fixed that for you. You're right, there's a very, very short window during which interrupting the page load can have unpredictable consequences. I'll see what I can do about that.

Maybe its something to consider down the road. I have absolutely zero experience working with video at any level. It is not brain surgery. If you can throw a music file and a nice image in (Windows) Movie Maker, then you're halfway there.
