Okay. My contribution hasn't arrived yet and even so I may not be talking for the whole group, but I don't think anyone wants you to nickel-and-dime this thing. I'm sure none of the VIP tix include a meet & greet though. Still, being able to get to the park early-early for the soundcheck, having access to food etc would be worth it, I think. And a nice room after a concert would be very welcome, I think. Easy cab ride and boom you're in the cool & quiet room. They might be great friends but you'll be tired and might not want to sit up talking...

We'll drive; flying is very uncomfortable for P's ears. Lynn & Face have already offered us a bed for the half-way mark each way.

I'm sure MsJudi took it into account with the budget but I assume we're looking at 3-day passes... the prices shown (99 to 199) are all one-day tickets, except for the VIP packages below. So "Reserved" means anything from $60 to $200 so figure $100 x 2 people x 3 shows = $600, +100 for 2 tshirts, that leaves about $250/night for the room at the Hyatt. If the reserved seat tix are the $200 ones, then you're getting to $100/night for the room. Anyway, do you want to be down in the pit or back in the back, soaking it in? Maybe 2 nights GA so you can walk around and the last night go for the up-close tickets? Anyway, do it up right.

Ok, folks, time to dig deep. One of our own is in trouble (cancer, fuck that shit!!) and there's one thing she wants.... a ticket to see this reunion. Now we need to make it happen. You know we can. Well they didn't actually get boo'd. They were not yet well known in the mid 70's and apparently the crowd were all ELP diehards. When Heart started playing 80k people started chanting "WE WANT ELP" and that continued non-stop until Heart gave up and left the stage after 3 songs. 

why the Heart hate?

I saw ELP at Soldiers Field in Chicago in the 70's in July. Heart played first at 5pm but was boo'd off the stage so no music until 7pm when ELP came on. I got there about 3;30 to make sure I got a good seat but the place was already packed. They were hauling people out with heat stroke left and right. I got one of the worst cases of sunburn I'd ever had. It will still be hot at 7 pm and the stadium acts like a giant heat sink.

Shows start at 7pm, the sun should be mostly down by then.
