I heard about this many years ago, from a source like Boy's Life or something like that. The gist of the story then was that a deck of these cards would be quite valuable. You can see where this is going... Mom was forced to buy some waterproof playing cards for her bridge club...

{#Lol} oops.

I don't know though - it could really slow down your escape to have to stop and play concentration to piece the map together.

A special deck of cards with a map hidden INSIDE the layers of the paper! When was it made, and what was it used for?

Stealing this. I have several customers that want detailed information any time there is any minor voltage variation (even when our gear specifically protects them from the problems). One always wants to know what we can do to limit the the number of transient variations on the incoming power grid. I usually respond by saying "capture all the squirrels first, then go after all the birds".

Yeah, here's the factoid I was thinking of:

Only 63% of the world's population has access to improved sanitation - defined as a sanitation facility that ensures hygienic separation of human excreta from human contact. - WHO/Unicef.

I wondered about the water one too. Guess it depends on the definition of 'safe'.  But for my dictionary - lives next to a clean stream and knows enough to do business downhill doesn't really mean access to safe water.

Interesting.  I wonder about the Food and Water categories.  Seem too low on the "starving" and "do not", respectively. 1% starving?  I hope that is correct, sad as it is.  This is a very well done graph, so I'll hope the author(s) did due diligence to "fact vetting".
