Well, this is MN, where a pile of leaves is a mountain. Too flat in my neighborhood for sledding. We're in an older inner-ring, near DT Saint Paul neighborhood that is great for walking, however. Islander: Come and get a condo here (in this building) for around $250K depending on the rehab. We're renters.

Lots of cool old houses here and most are decently kept up. To bad Damnville is so economically depressed and many are vacant or in foreclosure. Been trying to sell mine for 6 years now and it appraises for less than what I owe on the mortgage. My house would be worth $750k if it was 2 hours north in Richmond and cant get $130k for it here let alone the $160k I owe. In 2004 it appraised for $288k and thats BEFORE I restored it after it sat empty for 8 years.

Well they seem to have gotten their bridge about 95% finished and then everyone ran off to bother other people elsewhere and we haven't seen them for a couple of weeks. The road is not officially open yet but there are some who don't believe in signs and have been using it anyway. We suspect that the county now has to somehow be involved in the last little getting the road connected to the bridge part and there's no telling how long that could take. Meanwhile the company to the west has put concrete down all the way to the end of their contract, but they seem to have a tendency to do everything six or seven times so it's hard to say if they're finished yet or not. It has been open for Sunday drag racing though.- There are rumors now though that the thing will be finished and open to traffic late this year or early next. Street View will undoubtedly not be too far behind and the neighborhood committee for photobombing them still hasn't come up with a good plan. Any suggestions for either the interstate or the county road would be appreciated. Here's a highway view of the bridge so you can see what we're going to be working with.
