Saw a commercial for this on tv last night and cracked up over the slo-mo footage of flies being hit! Check out the questions and comments on this site! "Are flies protected game animals? will I need a license, tags, an orange safety vest to hunt them?" {#Roflol}

Absolutely! I had a similar problem and built one slightly larger, (which I do not recommend, by the way) and it not only killed all the inhabitants of that hill, it wiped out a nearby herd of Nubian goats. There were HAZMAT crews and folks from Homeland Security combing the hills for weeks. I think it was the noise...

I gave mine away before my last move - didn't want to freak anyone out when they scanned the shipping container. I had it wrapped in aluminium foil for about 30 years and the foil kind of broke apart {#Think}

Washington, D.C.—The 100 Watt incandescent bulb, "phased out" for the sin of consuming too much energy and giving off too much heat, died on New Year's Day, 2012, at the age of 132.

He was survived (at least temporarily) by his cousins, the 75 watt, 60 watt and 40 watt incandescent.

He will be remembered fondly for his warm, homey glow, his gentle cooperation with dimmer switches and his flexibility and usefulness in all indoor-and-outdoor light fixtures. In the wintertime in the colder areas of the United States, including New England and the Pacific Northwest, he provided not just light but a steady warmth that reduced the heating bills by just a bit.

He had a simple, aesthetically pleasing design, so iconic it became known as the very symbol for ideas. It would be an exaggeration to say the 100 Watt ever had any ideas of his own, despite being a symbol of them.

Rarely could you find a more unpretentious fellow. Inexpensive, predictable and harmless—if a tad boring. For a glass globe, he was fairly hardy and wouldn't break that easily if you you squeezed him when twisting him in the socket. And if he did break, he had the good manners not to spew mercury all over the place. And he was never fussy: When you were done with him, you could throw him in the ordinary household trash.

The world moves on. And Progress comes, or at least, what some folks call progress. RIP, 100 Watt. You will be missed.

Sigma 200-500mm f/2.8 APO EX DG Ultra-Telephoto Zoom Lens for Nikon DSLR Cameras

"Well, I finally decided to spring for the Sigma 200-500 f/2.8. For under $30,000 I couldn't pass up the deal. I know, carrying a 37lb lens around may seem like a chore, but the savings in gas to drive to photo shoots more than compensates for it. I actually do most of my Florida and Georgia area outdoor wedding and landscape shoots from my rooftop now. The IQ is tack-sharp even wide open at 1000mm (w/ 2x converter, obviously) The issue I had, was when the FBI and Homeland security showed up at my house. I was shooting a wedding in downtown Orlando, which is only about 30 miles away, from my roof. The house was surrounded and guns drawn on me. You see, I live near enough to a major airport that the neighbors mistook it's green color and imposing size as some sort of ground to air missile launcher. I would strongly consider coloring it a light color to minimize thermal expansion during the day, and marking the side "Not A Stinger Missile". Also, it is a nice walk around lens for family trips to the zoo. Low light performance is superb. Most photos can be taken without flash, on a moonless night, following a massive power outage, by simply lighting a fart during the exposure. Experiment with differing brands of beans, as it affects the color temperature of the raw shot."
