No. The government occasionally tosses a bone out to the masses (usually in exchange for a vote).
I had a project that would have required a little work from them (about half of which they were doing already) , and some from my team. I figured the work load at about 2/3 for my team and 1/3 for their team. I was going to provide the tracking system and framework. The result would be a substantial energy savings and some good PR. I offered to give them 50% of the energy savings as a credit on their invoices. They said "great, but we want 100%, and you can't use this as PR". We went round and round, but in the end, their guy said "if there are savings to be had, we want all of it". I did the project without them and still got about 75% of the energy savings, so I came out ahead financially. But I was astonished how hard headed they were and so utterly unwilling to let us share in any part of the savings from a program that we identified and initiated.
As a citizen of Seattle and a former vendor to Amazon Web Services I say: be careful what you wish for. There is a lot of upside with these guys, but it's tricky. I've never seen a company more self interested, and I've worked with Microsoft and the Bells.

"Getting from 238 to 20 was very tough – all the proposals showed tremendous enthusiasm and creativity," said Holly Sullivan, head of public policy for Amazon. "Through this process we learned about many new communities across North America that we will consider as locations for future infrastructure investment and job creation."

Can we pass the hat to buy Alex Jones a one-way ticket to that secret colony on Mars? It doesn't matter if the ship doesn't reach its intended destination...
Don't forget to pack his Hillary Clinton doll for the long trip:
I wonder if he has any clue how much damage he does.

Long sleeve shirts now available through Merch, but you need to submit new designs - cannot change existing short-sleeve options.
They've been rolling out that option for a while; I've had it for a couple of months. It's nice because they are a good way to diversify... if you get your keywords nailed down so that people searching for "squirrel shaving" find yours first, it'll probably be there 2 or 3 times (standard + premium shirts + long sleeve) before the ones that only keyword "rodent depilatory" ...
But I'm not selling any, yet. Some people are selling them but the default price gives us half as much margin as on the basic T, so I don't list them at $24.99. Mine are $28.99 or $29.99.
That's awesome, but "The Aliens Use Their Spork Transponder In An Attempt To Subdue Duck Girl" is awesomer.
Thanks. I have to order a sample of that one; it's hard to tell how dark the black is and how much white outline may be remaining from the sample photo.
