RP certainly suites me as I'm not the most rapidfire kind of person and conversations can stretch over days, or in some cases appear to stretch across the aeons (BTW, how's your headlight alignment? Can't be too careful, you know ).
 
Twitter and facebook require me to pay too much attention because they seem so ephemeral, and my attention span is very shor....ooh look! A shiny thing!

In fact I started to reply some time ago, but got distracted cooking tea for the sprogs on a (British) BBQ - in October! I know! Weird, but carpe burgerum as Socrates might've said, had he had a Hibachi grill and a pile of charcoal.

It is nice to be able to share things.
I don't have the computer on all day.
I have a desktop in the backroom no laptop or i pads or phone apps.
So I look at this as posting messages in a bottle and dropping them overboard.
Drop me a note. and I'll get back to you.  At the speed of snail mail.
If I see an interesting topic I may make a comment. but I'm adhd so I won't stay on track.
