It's the same injury as before - I guess the vet was wrong when she said India was completely healed - looks broken again to me. I'm taking her in to get it checked out later today. As a General Falconer, I can keep 2 raptors, so I there's no big rush to find a place for her. I can still acquire another bird to hunt with and keep her as long as I need to to make sure she goes to the best home I can find for her. The vet I take her to runs an org. called Bird of Prey Foundation and I think they rehab and place birds that have been injured. I'm so sad for India, though.

Amen to that. I posted something earlier today (then deleted it) using that exact phrase. I feel like I've been doing that for the last two years. I feel like in many ways my forties (so far) are going to waste. I hope to turn that around real soon. EDIT: Here's to the imminent end of stagnation.
