a good friend's boyfriend of almost a year dumped her out of the blue last night. totally unexpected. and he just moved here a few months ago to be closer to her and get a new job. sucks. she's having a hard time getting out of bed today.

It's the same injury as before - I guess the vet was wrong when she said India
was completely healed - looks broken again to me. I'm taking her in to get it checked
out later today. As a General Falconer, I can keep 2 raptors, so I there's no big
rush to find a place for her. I can still acquire another bird to hunt with and keep her
as long as I need to to make sure she goes to the best home I can find for her.
The vet I take her to runs an org. called Bird of Prey Foundation and I think they
rehab and place birds that have been injured. I'm so sad for India, though.

That is sad, but I believe that it is highly curable if caught on time. We had relatives that had this, and they have lived long lives after treatment.
