Respectable, but certainly not the same league as work. This is Verizon (now Frontier) FIOS, I have a 25Mb package, so it looks like they have me set up about right.

I'm only beginning to look into it now myself. Here's a couple of Canuckian links, the info there is still relevant to you Disneylanders. Just ignore any mentions of how to affix antennas to the ceiling of the igloo... Digital Home - OTA FAQ
Antennas and Digital Television She does live up close to there.

The speed was actually a lot better than what is shown, but we were maxing out their algorithms - The files transfered so fast you couldn't get consistent numbers for the math - especially on the upload side because most of those are weighted. Wow

Yeah the County used to maintain some repeaters here, back in the 50s when TV was as important as internet is now—for Public Defense warnings etc. They finally pulled the funding because most people were getting their information from other sources. They went off the air January 1. So it's weird to think we're in an area and an era where I can't suck TV out of the sky anymore.

Well there y'go. Doesn't cost them any more but they throttle you back just to tick you off. Howzat workin'? I think our internet package alone is $45. We might switch to a different provider too, with better upload speeds for the videochat with grandma The high speed is key at our house with the netflix, RP, couple of computers chatting possibly at the same time. But it sure makes TV an afterthought. We realized/admitted we just don't care enough about the "local" news to keep paying for it. I think we're dropping the TV.

I think my problem is that I've got six TVs scattered around the house and the "boxes" are banging it up there.
Hulu plus? May have to look into that
We already have a roku box, and I just opened up their freebie promo videos last night to check it out. Some commercials, but awesome picture. We don't have a blu-ray player so I can't compare it but it's the best picture I've seen on our TV. I think it's $9 a month for the service. We'll have to see if there's anything we would actually watch, and also have to see if there's stuff the kids shouldn't have easy access to. But we watched something on the National Zoo last night and it was boring as hell but lovely to look at!
