Okay. I woke up this morning singing this song in my head. It's a Scottish/ Irish band along the lines of "The Men They Couldn't Hang/ Pouges". With the folksy, uptempo fiddle playing in it Their song is played here on Paradise.
And I still can't remember the name of the group or song.

It's not the one, but I very much appreciate you trying to help me out! :)
I'm not exactly giving you much to go on.. I know he has a much deeper voice than that.. and I completely agree that it has a western feel to it.. I also remember it having kind of a rock quality to it, but it wasn't very pronounced.
I keep going through pages of lyrics with the word 'indigo' in it but alas, have found nothing..
This time I'm looking for a song with the word 'indigo' in the lyrics.. I can't remember much else, other than the fact that it's a dude singing. 'Indigo' appears pretty frequently in the lyrics if I recall correctly.. and I remember thinking to myself 'this is a pretty cool song to chill out to' :> Pretty new song too, I think..
The guy singing has a deep, calm voice with a lot of uumph behind it. I've heard several other songs from him lately here on Radio Paradise but I digress, can't for the life of me remember name or lyrics.
Throw me your words of wisdom!
Thanks
Is it "Pour Le Monde" by Crowded House (Neil Finn vocalist)
Pour Le Monde :
He imagines the world As the angels sending Not the ghost of a man Who is tied up to the chair And he wants to believe That his life has a meaning With his hand on his heart Pour le monde, pas pour la guerre And I wake up blind Like my dreams were too bright And I lost my regard For the good things that I had And the radio was sad When you listen for good To find that nothing out there can touch you ‘Cause the liars moved in And they believe their own Dark medicine You act so nonchalant That he is not a dog Perform for you in the stadium For the world, not for the war And he tries to believe Though it might lead to heartache In the nightclub Indigo Pour le monde, pas pour la guerre Pour le monde, pas pour la guerre When you listen for good In the hope that comes to nothing As the liars moved in And they believe their own Dark medicine Believing it’s good Behind their jaded eyes A dilemma He’s the best You’ve ever had He’s so low You never know He’s the best You’ve ever had He’s the best You’ve ever had He’s so low You’ll never know Here we go

Dang. I know the song your looking for. I can't remember the name. It has a western tinge to it. Almost like "Ghost Riders in the Sky"

Peter Murphy - Indigo Eyes?
Not new by any means. You'll find it on the 1988 album Love Hysteria. Sadly, it isn't in the RP library.

I thought maybe it was peter murphy but he doesn't have a deep voice like oldslabsides - and his song indigo eyes isn't on the RP playlist. Glad I could help!

YES! Oh thank you so much. It totally ruined a party for me this weekend because I wanted to put it on a really nice speaker system and I spent the rest of the night trying to remember it :>
Well look at the song comments re: Karaoke and maybe you're better off now

I can't for the life of me remember either the song or band name. The lyrics have something to do with the devil and something like it might be included in the song title. The song is fast paced with fast drums, maybe trumpet, and for some reason I think of 'Mambo nr. 5' when I think of the style - although the style of the song I'm looking for is kinda different, more 40's-50's like. The really characteristic thing about the song is the guy singing it, he's sort of talking really fast with all the drums etc. going in the same rhythm and there's this theme about the devil which I can't place. It's driving me nuts :)
