All's it needs is a nice 3 to 4 foot lazy left point break and I'm there, forever ...

I would be willing to overlook the lack of surf, though, maybe, ummm ok, I'm there.

It's literally in the middle of downtown, I can't help but believe that someone will move in and renovate it at some point. It's a gorgeous old building with so much more style and character than the more modern fiascoes surrounding it.

I've thought about doing that to a cool old building of some kind. Even found a couple of buildings, but none that were in a place I'd like to live once the project was finished.  Someday though, once I've internalized and blocked all the trauma associated with the current remodeling project...

All of these are inside the First National Bank Building in downtown Oklahoma City. It was completed in 1931 and was designed and built by the same architect/construction companies that built the Empire State Building in New York City. It looks a lot like a miniature Empire State. Sadly, it's been in receivership for several years and is largely vacant and in marginal repair.

Nice pad, but I have to say that the water fountain jars a little. Would've thought that a chap had some domestic help to attend to ones guests' hydration needs.

Details, Gatsby, it's always the details.

P.S. Beautiful design work. Not my cup of tea, but I'll doff my cap to the designer and the craftsmen - especially the quarrymen and the masons.
