There was a Tastee Freeze over in the old neighborhood when I was growing up. Best Carolina style burgers and flake shakes period. Little place with a counter and outdoor seating. I think somebody closed it in years ago and turned it into a strip joint. Can't make that up, ya'll...

blood on the plow...

Memory lane. We had one in the neighborhood that we went to frequently. The burgers were ridiculously cheap. I had a buddy that worked there, and when he saw us, he would drop a basket of fries that he cooked the way we liked them (crispy - apparently that's 3X longer than the company standard of warm/mushy) and have them fresh and ready to our liking when we hit the counter.
