Judge Blocks Oklahoma's Sharia Law Ban

DemonstrationA federal judge has already blocked Oklahoma's new ban on Sharia law enforcement, which they voted into the state constitution last Tuesday. Stupid judge! Can't he see that encroaching Muslims forces are only miles away from capturing Tulsa?

I have no problem with this in theory; they just need to work out the details between civil and religious. To me it is a separation of church and state issue. I do not want any religion creeping into our laws. We still have much work to do to extract all of the Christianity out of our law books and Sharia law is the same as fundamental Christians in my book. Neither of them have any place in civil law. I don't understand why so called liberals do not see this in this light, they are so careful not to offend any minority, they are going to allow them to start pulling the same sort of shenanigans the Evangelical Christian right tries to pull.{#Yes}  John Lennon or Vladimir Lenin for that matter would not like Sharia law.{#No}

I have seen the occaisional list that P refers to.  Can't find a handy one, though.

Here is the Federal Governments lists, a bit confusing and only with data about 4th and 8th grades.   I think that it is safe to say that most of the core learning is done by 8th grade anyway.

Clicky here

you will find an interactive chart where you can click here and there and find comparisons to national averages and whatnot.  It is of itself rather meaningless without digging deeper to find the actual rankings list.  To go deeper, you must double click on a state to get to here

Pick any state, it doesn't matter it is the only way to get to the meaningful stuff.
Under the map you will find a chart that gives rankings by grade and subject and to the very end of the row is a button that says compare.  It looks like it is grayed out and not active, but it is, click on it.

You should end up here  (upon testing of the links, it returns you to the one above, so you must double click on the state to get to the next step)

Once again the map is meaningless.  Look right above the map and you will find a link to Stat Comparison Table.  Click on it.

Finally, you will reach a table in a new window with numerical listings from top to bottom.  All the states will be there.  You will have to hit compare on each 8th grade line item to find out each states ranking for that particular subject.

Its a real pain in the butt to get the info, but it is there.  If anyone knows a better way or link, by all means, please share it.

Thanks

but state question 744 (i think that was the number), to designate more of the state's budget money for schools and teachers' salaries, in order to bring OK up to the standards of neighboring states, was overwhelmingly voted DOWN.  80% of ballots cast were NO.  OK is ranked 49th in the country, not sure who is 50th, as far as the education system.
