99% done. We are successful on all fronts; I just have a pesky leak where the hot water line feeds into the machine. I'm going to wait until it's dry tomorrow morning and redo the connection tightly, with new teflon tape. Make sure there's no leakage. Push the beast in and screw it down. Then I'm going to turn the breaker back on and wash some dishes.

Right now, I'm tired, my knees are killing me, and I need to have a beer and about nine hours of sleep.

If you want to get it running tonight, go do the wire nuts thing, then this weekend you can get the box and do it better. It'll be fine.
BONUS: 110 won't kill you. Very often.

I was installing a dishwasher in a house I lived in in Oakland way back when. Had the old dead one out, new one ready to go in, roommate was standing in the doorway watching for a while. Had the plumbing all set to go but was inevitably sitting in a puddle of water. Had some pliers on bare wire and the roommate went into the pantry area *flick* *flick* no lights. So he came back in the kitchen and flipped the breaker! Zow!

MARY~~ Would you like me to walk into the house and slap him? I could, you know...
Your friend,
Justine

This part is why we don't have one in our room now. I hate standing on the bed just to change a lightbulb, nevermind doing something requiring a skilz.

Hate to throw a wrench in the works, but I'd recommend installing a receptacle in the wall to actually be able to plug in the dishwasher. I don't like the idea of inaccessable wirenuts making the connection.
