Ok...If I don't hear anything from him soon, I think I might convince pdxbiker to mail out his CD now so they can do a switch.

The only places I get ticketed seating are at theater shows, which are a rarity for me. I guess the last time for that was when we went down to Knoxville to see John Prine with BDH. Well, most of the smaller shows I go to are at GA venues. This one, where I saw Neko last week (and saw Jenny Lewis there with Kysmet a couple of months ago) is an old theater that has gone back-and-forth in its usage, most recently becoming a venue for live performances—some of which are stage productions/plays, so it makes sense that there is seating.

With a ticketed venue, seems like no matter how try I follow where tickets are sold or how to get them, or when... I always get some lousy seat I can't control. I miss the old days of sleeping on the sidewalk waiting for the ticket place to open. But I'm talking about general admin shows that are standing room only (other than a couple of choice bar tables here and there). I don't know that I've ever been to a general admin show that has seating.

Well, you can thank rabid Who fans in Cincinnati (and the late sound check and the late door-opening of the venue blah blah blah) for that going away (at large arenas, anyway).

In all of my years of concert-going, I never did that for tickets. There were plenty of times I got up at the butt crack of dawn to go get on line, but never an overnight. Not sure if that's because there was never anyone I needed to see that badly (or guarantee great seats for), or just a result of the way the ticket buying system changed as I got a bit older.

Dunno for sure - I just Googled around one day for something or other and I grabbed it because I thought it was funny. And when it came time to do the mix I scoured through my picture bank.
