ACO Bechtel was informed of the situation and after securing a friendly Husky at the R'ham-H'burg SPCA, received a call for another loose Husky in the road in the area of Port Republic Road and Forest Hill Drive.

ACO Bechtel, after a very recent encounter with skunk, was able to smell skunk spray from nearly a mile away while responding to find the new loose Husky. ACO Bechtel found said Husky and found that the adventurous girl had climbed to freedom, then found what she thought was a friendly black and white cat.

After making sure the fragrant Husky was safe in his vehicle, ACO Bechtel responded to the storm drain, due to a recent rain, and found that the trapped kitten had indeed been lured into the trap ACO Earhart had set.

ACO Bechtel, holding the trap suspended by rope with one hand, balancing on one foot, was able to pull the heavy grate aside with his other hand, removing the kitten from the drain. The fragrant and adventurous Husky's family was found and ACO Bechtel returned her to her family before taking the kitten to the R'ham-H'burg SPCA.
