The documentary Pray The Devil Back To Hell...It is about the events that finally, after 14 years of war, brought peace to Liberia...Amazing.

A thriving Pea Patch garden behind the local social services agency's thrift shop. Six plots benefit the local food bank exclusively. The rest of the plots are rented out to local residents, many of whom are on "scholarships" based on need. Incredible to see such a successful enterprise only now beginning their second year. Americorps VISTA is involved, too, helping our local poor grow their own food. They've done amazing things with in-kind donations and lots of small grants (one from us last year). I'll definitely push to fund their grant.

That'll get you a $300 ticket here due to recent legislation. 'Tis a good thing.

An odd sight as we're under some busy routes, but very lovely for a change.

*edit* All flights in UK airspace have been grounded due to the ash plume from the Iceland eruption reaching us - looking forward to a spectacular sunset tonight.
