Debbie and I went to San Luis Obispo for a few days last week for her birthday.
It was nice to get away from the heat.
Our first stop for lunch we went to Oso Flaco (Skinny Bear) Lake.
Years ago (mid 70's) this area was open to off roading there at Pismo Beach. The county shut it down for years after that. There was just one basic sand road. Nobody messed with the lake area... to many shrubs. They have "rehabilitated" the area so more people can access it now. So we went back there to the ocean for a reminiscing hike.
Later that day we worked ourselves up to Cambria and Moonstone Beach.
And did another long walk just before sunset.
We got up early the next morning and got on the beach at a very low tide.
We found a lot of wildlife in the tide pools. And some big starfish.

Dining services has been using these robots to deliver food around campus for months. They're really adorable. Today I caught a traffic jam.
And then a little later I looked up to see this sunlit sycamore between two buildings.
