what I meant is when you're that close to the edge, you don't see the actual edge, you see over it. that makes me nervous.

My dad's 80th birthday was this past week, and it's also the 40th anniversary of the bicycle shop we opened, so tomorrow's the big birthday party for both of them. We (Justine, mostly, and my sister and another friend) made 50# of pulled pork for lunch, but most of it doesn't have any BBQ sauce on it so I'm counting on leftovers. It'll transition very nicely to being carnitas.

Anyway, it works out that we won't be having Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo, which is odd since we have some iteration of Mexican food probably every other meal
