Caused partly by a leaky water heater combined with a 100+ year old home without proper insulation, the rest is getting reamed by my electric company! ! wow. yeah. $65 not so bad aye. looking back to february 2008 I payed $25.46 so that was why I was concerned.

I can't figure it out! but what about electric? I have maybe 800 sq feet at the most and it is $65, not using any air conditioners and very few appliances. I one litght on right now. I remember it being a lot less. I have wind power, that might bring it up, but .... actually, compared to how much everything else cost, $65 to have electricity isn't much. Thirty-two cents a day, plus 10 cents a minute. Possibly switching to a $4.95/month with 10 minutes included, then 10 cents a minute for anything over 10 minutes, but I want to make sure there are no additional hidden costs.

xtalman wrote:T-moble pay as you go plan, I pay about $. 10 a minute and that runs me about $25. 00 a month or so, if I get chatty then it may go up to $30. 00. I usually buy the minutes in $50. 00 installments. Had to pay about $50. 00 or so for the phone, it is just a phone no camera. Still a beliver in land lines for most telephone work.
That's what I use, cause I'd rather be dragged over broken glass than talk on the phone. I'm still working on the 1000 minute block I bought 3 years ago. If you buy 1000 minutes they don't expire as long as you re-up one time in a year, which you can do with a $10 plan. And being the cheap bastid that I am, I not only got my cheap ass Nokia for free, I got paid a $30 rebate to take it.
