Yesterday I ordered two 12 kilo KBs from the local guys at Canadian Kettlebells. B is already ready to move up from the 8 kilo for several exercises, and I'm keen to use the 12 to learn how to do a Turkish Get up, and to use them both for some double bell work — I don't want to jump into that with two 16s given how heavy the single 24 still feels.

Ya'll are with me, yeah?

This makes me smile:

28 days, 12 kettle bell work-outs, 4 hockey games.

Bring it on, Mr. IceCream, bring it on!!

Where was this fat? You've always felt hard as a rock. To hobbitt, that is.

 Well, I wouldn't say I've been "fat" anytime I've seen you, but I certainly haven't been "in shape" — Damn you, Honeynut Cheerios, damn you!

I will say that that I've seen several articles recently claiming that cardio alone isn't as effective as we'd like to think. Bear with me on another KB reference, but until I started with them I was not really getting anywhere — had dropped some weight but not much. Going to KBs,  which are actually an excellent cardio workout as well as a ballistic one, helped me carve off a lot of fat. I don't think too much in terms of pounds anymore, but it was nice to go from 215 to 190.

As the weather gets nicer, I'm going to try some version of this.

That's very close to my starting and target weight this time! I actually lost 37 pounds using a stationery bike once, and felt great afterward! Down to about 180 that time. Whatever works in getting you where you want to be is really all that matters, I guess. The main thing is to get started doing something and then sticking with it. {#High-five}
