53 pounds...   The single 24 kilo is the standard issue for the Russian Army (or so I've read).

Yesterday I ordered two 12 kilo KBs from the local guys at Canadian Kettlebells. B is already ready to move up from the 8 kilo for several exercises, and I'm keen to use the 12 to learn how to do a Turkish Get up, and to use them both for some double bell work — I don't want to jump into that with two 16s given how heavy the single 24 still feels.

Two 12 kilos is like 50 pounds in American weight. It makes my knees hurt to think about it. Is there any way to use kettlebells  while you're sitting down, or even better, while sleeping?
