We pay just about the highest rate per pool in the valley.

Read the list below - ALL of it!

• Minimum one year of verifiable experience, although training on our methods will be provided.
• Be ready for a test of your skills. (Example: explain the saturation index)
• Independent Subcontractor position, paid by the pool. (Form 1099)
• Opportunity for extra income performing repairs and cleanups.
• You must have a reliable, respectable looking pickup truck with insurance. No junkers allowed.
• You supply all tools (pole, net, brush, test kit, etc)
• Company supplies all chemicals and consumables.
• No whiners allowed. This is hard work in the HOT Arizona weather.
• Liability insurance to be provided by subcontractor by the time you start.
• Must be able to write legibly, documentation of your work is mandatory.
• Must be able to communicate professionally with our customers.
• If you speak in grunts and clicks, move on to a fast food job please.

Hi Steve,

This ad makes you sound like a horrible, micro-managing, find-fault-in-everything boss, my-way-or-the-highway kind of boss. If you're not, I'd definitely re-word the ad — see hippie chicks suggestions. If you are — well then that is probably the main reason you keep losing employees.

That's my two cents and keep in mind I've never been a pool cleaner, although I'd love to hire one!

I'm with Bokes. You're laying out the requirements and expectations: if the applicant can't or won't meet them, it saves everyone time and frustration. One likes to imagine there are still people who WANT to work, and with the job market the way it is, maybe there are some qualified folks around.

It looks good to me and I've been on both sides of the fence as employer and employee. I like the bluntness- it'll keep the time wasters away. {#Yes}

Instead of saying this:

These comments are also extremely negative:

REmember, your clients may read the ad, and you will not attract high quality employees if they think that their boss is in a-hole, which is how you come off here. I can understand your frustration, because there are a lot of f-ups out there, and I imagine that a lot are attracted to this kind of work, but you want to be professional.

Foxy Lady, Rhode Island Strip Club, To Host Job Fair

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Here's a job opportunity you won't need to buy a new wardrobe for.

Hoping to take advantage of Rhode Island's floundering economy, owners of the Foxy Lady strip club in Providence plan to hold a job fair on Saturday.

They say they're looking to fill around 30 positions, from strippers and waitresses to disc jockeys and bartenders, at that club and two others in Massachusetts.

"I need more managers, I need more competent staff, and I need more attractive waitresses to go along with the ones I have right now," said co-owner Tom Tsoumas.

The naked truth is that Rhode Island's economy is among the worst in the nation, with an unemployment rate of 10.3 percent in January.

The Providence club isn't immune from the recession but is still drawing customers willing to drink and pay for lap dances, said manager Bob Travisono.

"It's taken a hit," he said. "It's not as bad as restaurants and stuff like that. In times like this, they seem to drink their sorrows away."

Tsoumas said he hopes some who might shun strip clubs when the economy is good might consider shedding their clothes now _ or at least working as a floor host or bartender.

You got that right, MB. The past two months I was contemplating updating my resume and starting the search. I had wanted to leave on my own terms, but I guess the situation hit me in the face before I had planned. It happened so fast! My only regrets now are not having the chance to say a few more things to my boss before I gathered my personal items and left the building. And that I didn't get a chance to say "Good Bye" to many of my fellow workers.

What's gets me is that Wednesday was my One Year Anniversary of working at the company. I was in the room when my supervisor got reamed out by my boss. It wasn't pretty. A few days latter, my boss threw another temper tantrum. He put a hole in the wall from slamming a door open and also kicked a cabinet and gave a gorilla scream. All this in the presence of a new employee and a visiting technician who was in our office to train us on our new workflow system.

I told myself if he ever got out of control at me that I would not just take it and yell right back at him; and that's what happened yesterday. I was upset that in the midst of all the work we were doing (billable client work) and having a frustrating time with a new workflow that wasn't working correctly, my boss wanted a rush freebie personal job done; and instead of bringing the project in through proper channels and through production, it was thrown into our faces.

At least you have your dignity, even though it's hard to pay the bills with any of that. Good luck w/ your search
