We are in agreement - alert the media.  Yes, the walmart/foxspews/oprah/goodmorningamerica/newcarevery2.5yearsetc perspective is rather limited in its ability to identify with anyone outside the typical American suburban landscape. Hell, most folks around here have difficulty imagining the idea of riding public transport on a regular basis.

More Americans to own passports and travel instead of the 19% of the population that do now. I've always thought America's biggest problems was because many Americans don't ever seem to leave their own country and experience other cultures therefore thinking the world revolves around them with the attitude "why do I need to go anywhere when I have everything here?"
There's nothing better than travel to broaden one's mind and to perhaps gain an understanding of other cultures.

Wow, HJ! I think I saw Ice Cold in Alex when I was a kid, but not since, and then it was bugging me that I couldn't put a name to the film until Maryte cross-referenced Anthony Quayle and John Mills and found it. Today's #1 obscure movie reference!
