Missoula, MT. It had No Left Turn signs that fold open at 2 PM. I was in the intersection when they flipped, too far forward to see the sign. Cop was parked right there, ready to swoop down on me, and did.

And me leaving town for college the next day. Couldn't even fight the ticket.

Wow, spellcheck says skedaddle's spelled right.

I did wonder, 'cos Powell seems like a small town, and rule one for people in high profile jobs in small towns must be "don't piss on your own doorstep".

Rule two: Be nice to your traffic warden. Works a treat for us, bless Pauls' cotton socks. But don't quote me on that as he is a 6'6" ex Military Policeman, who very quietly and firmly doesn't take any shit. He knows whom is whom, and will be sensible if you are being sensible (e.g. unloading stuff, getting little'uns sorted). Take the piss, however, and he's ruthless and unwielding, which given that he's spent his working life dealing with pissed squaddies is the least we can expect.

Point is, I suppose, is that he is part of the community, knows the community and has our respect. Needless to say his job is being transfered and all of the above goes out of the window

Skipping it altogether might also improve your day:

Most important meal of the day?

You may want to read that sentence again. I don't blame you.

Exactly how some scientist even THOUGHT to look into this is way beyond me, and I'm not sure what to make of it.

Is it that these students skip breakfast and have sex instead? Despite what advertisers tell us, is the "Breakfast of Champions" really something other than Wheaties?

One thing is certain from these findings. Parents, if you want GOOD kids, you need to ensure they eat breakfast, no matter what.

And don't just take their word for it. You sit them in front of the TV and WATCH them stuff that Egg McMuffin into their cake hole! It's just good parenting!

Personally, weird I may be, but I prefer an enchilada. Tons of peppers too. Fwck those fart-smelling eggs. Huevos.

Well, it's like a double negative which certainly does not make a positive, or an imiginary number square root of -1 sort of thing. Except for the demons stoking the fire in the hottest pit of hell get more vindictive than usual. Seriously hard to deal with on a rational level.

anyway, they just beat you in the head for being a wise ass and shovel some more extra hot coals on your back.
