dont care what people say about mucinex. it works for me. but i'm also very interested in trying a netipot the next time i get a cold. but that doesn't mean i want yours. so  from afar.
my back is still killing me. that's annoying.

Durham has a ton of panhandlers.  Apparently as long as they wear a reflective vest (I'm assuming the city gives these to them, but I'm not sure), they can hang out at all the interstate exit ramps.  I saw one of them get picked up by their ride at the end of the day (in a nice BMW). And another day while at the red light I saw a nicely dressed woman walk up to one of the regulars— he handed her a BIG wad of bills and then she walked off— no idea what was going on with that.  But I also get really annoyed.  There is a rescue mission here that would give them a place to stay, feed them, and help them find work... AS LONG AS they don't drink or do drugs.  Too many strikes and you're out.  I know alcohol/drug addiction and mental illness (which I'm sure has a huge part in this) is another thing altogether, but you have to want to help yourself before I'm going to want to help you, ya know?  I had a box of pizza left over from a school event— I was taking it home. I decided to give it to one of the panhandlers at the interstate exit.  He took it, but he looked at me like he was pissed off about it.  Oh and one last thing— they leave a TON of trash out there.  I really get pissed at the city of Durham for not doing something about it.  If they're going to allow panhandlers all over the city, harassing people at every interstate exit, at least make them pick up their garbage. 

Well, there's a Whole Foods here, but there's also a Rite-Aid two blocks down the street. On the other hand, wouldn't a neti pot be more "green"?

Of course, how green can it be if I have to drive to Whole Foods to get one, when I can walk down the street and get Ayr or Nasopure! AAAGGGHHH!

Some people swear by it.  That placebo effect is a powerful thing!  Who cares if it works, right?  Hope you are feeling better soon, and seriously— go get a neti pot.  I know they've got Earth Fare or Whole Foods or something like that in Lex Vegas.  They sell them there.

EDIT: Yeah, Ayr is good too.  Haven't tried it myself, but same concept.

Do the neti pot 2x per day for about a week (with the neti pot salt).   I LOVE my neti pot.   You will be converted if you try it.   I mean, it MUST  be good if it makes people try to convince other people to stick a teapot in their nose and watch the water come out the other side, right? ?

Save your money on the Mucinex, it's all marketing and placebo effect— drinking lots of water is just as effective.

I used to own a recycling center. I've seen crazy and it's a shame, but crazy people don't vote( although the 2004 election REALLY  made me wonder ) and so their problems aren't adressed.
