I prefer pillows that are less forward. I will not induct an inanimate object into the Mile-High Club, no matter how skilled it may be.

In fact, I wouldn't call him at all. To this day he has no idea how to use a cell phone, or a phantasmatronic plasmoid de-stabilizing plotter.
What an idiot!

I don't think I would like to catch them dead on a plane. That would be disturbing. Also smelly.

Thanks Jade. We will look into your suggestions. There is a possibility that we will head north to revisit The Canyon, as it was hazy the last time we were there. So yeah, looks like Sedona is right on the way. Except, didn't you want to come and stay at my house and while we are gone? Look after our dogs and check out our lovely region of the country? Or was that someone else?
My Id would rebel at such a consideration.

BillJ wrote:I suppose this thread may be used for requesting tips as well as offering them.
Two things: Mrs, daughter and I are planning a trip to visit other daughter in the Phoenix area at the beginning of June for about 12 days. So the first thing is, any suggestions of things to do or see in (or near) Arizona. We took a western trip in 2000 and skirted the top of AZ, Grand Canyon, Painted Desert, but I don't know that much about the southern part of the state. Especially interested in the secret gems, including restaurants, cool stores, whatever. The second thing is that we are considering the possibility of having a house/pet sitter (two dogs) while we are gone. We have never done this before and would be interested in hearing from anyone on this subject. Bill~ I would most highly recommend Texas Canyon and Saguaro Nat'l Park for starters. On your way to Texas Canyon from Tucson you MUST stop and see 'The Thing'! Once you have droopped through Texas Canyon, keep on going to Chiricahua Nat'l Monument. Texas Cyn and Chiricahua (look for Cochise's Hideout) are spectactular vistas of natural beauty. While not in the same highway direction, definitely go to Saguaro Nat'l Park, for the same reasons. And, as long as you are in Saguaro NP, drop on down to Puerto Penasco, Mexico. It is on the northern tip of the Sea of Cortez. A nice taste of Mexico, the beach, et al, without having to go too far. In Tucson there is a fine little restaurant called Tohono Chul Park Tea Room. It has a really pleasant botanical garden environment for outdoor breakfasts or lunch, trails through the botanical park, great food. A winner. And of course, if you were to head north to Sedona... well, that comes complete with a visit with me! Enjoy~ Jade
