"Members of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, <...> voted overwhelmingly in November to oppose changes that would require them and thousands of other Harvard employees to pay more for health care. The university says the increases are in part a result of the Obama administration’s Affordable Care Act, which many Harvard professors championed." WASHINGTON — For years, Harvard’s experts on health economics and policy have advised presidents and Congress on how to provide health benefits to the nation at a reasonable cost. But those remedies will now be applied to the Harvard faculty, and the professors are in an uproar. The faculty vote came too late to stop the cost increases from taking effect this month, and the anger on campus remains focused on questions that are agitating many workplaces: How should the burden of health costs be shared by employers and employees? If employees have to bear more of the cost, will they skimp on medically necessary care, curtail the use of less valuable services, or both? “Harvard is a microcosm of what’s happening in health care in the country,” said David M. Cutler, a health economist at the university who was an adviser to President Obama’s 2008 campaign. But only up to a point: Professors at Harvard have until now generally avoided the higher expenses that other employers have been passing on to employees. That makes the outrage among the faculty remarkable, Mr. Cutler said, because “Harvard was and remains a very generous employer.”

A friend of mine posted this on FB: He was absolutely correct. Yesterday, government snowplows came through my neighborhood and terrified us under the guise of "being helpful". It was truly frightening. After the plows left I was able to hop in my car and drive over to city hall to complain in person.

From what I've been told, the earth is 4,000,006,033 1/3 years old. Alas, I have no proof of that.
Do you have proof of how old the earth is ? or just a best guess ? I inferred from your posts in the evolution thread (points 1 and 2). Proof is for maths. You are off by around half a billion years (no biggie). The age of the earth comes from evidence of radiometric dating which by its very nature has a margin of error. I don't/can't do radiometric dating or have access to such really old material, so I'll have to rely on those people have repeatedly done so and keep doing it to get closer to a more definite answer/estimate.

RichardPrins wrote: Not even remotely similar. A denier is someone who denies (well-established science in your particular case).
And that's simply based on your own statements w.r.t. both climate science and evolutionary biology. No interpretation/extrapolation required. Just facts.
?!?!?!? WTF are you talking about now ? obtw the most common use of the term denier has to do with the Holocaust.
