Is there a quick way to search pm's?

Also. Searching members kills the stream. Is that supposed to happen?

Love Radio Paradise and seldom listen to any other 'radio station'. Whilst I realise that the choice of play list is Bill and Rebecca's as its their station, I do wonder about the selection process, do they listen to every track submitted? Do they make choices based on " gee we've got loads of that artist, don't want anymore" Are there whole catagories of music they don't particularly like? or too much of a particularly genre? It would be interesting to get a handle on just a fraction of the process before I submit anymore....track record is 27 submitted 0 accepted, some are still sitting there and may be will get taken up laters....I'll still listen as its a good station.

 Do they listen to every track submitted?
I would imagine they could be overwhelmed sometimes.

I floated  a scenario about the LRC years ago that IIRC was sort of confirmed by Bill: Songs go into review and are marked as "New" until they've had a chance to hear them. When they're just doing stuff around the house, washing the dog or sorting laundry, they might put on the LRC (with the understanding that this is less pleasant than listening to RP and they also have a work-responsibility to listen to other radio and new releases). If your song in the LRC got played, it moved to "reviewing" status. If nothing about it jumped out good/bad and they got the dog washed and dried without noticing the song, it remained in "reviewing," possibly for years. If it immediately made them hate it, it got a Sorry, and if they were thrilled to hear it, it got Added. When everything was clean and tidy, maybe once or twice a year, they might go thru and Sorry a lot of stuff in one batch, so it didn't come up on their LRC rotation anymore.

At least that's how I'd do it. I assume it's still similar with the new system.

I currently have 5 songs sitting in "New" status.
These songs were submitted months ago.
Then again, knowing me pretty well by now; Bill and Rebecca are probably putting me on restriction. {#Mrgreen}
I've been "Uploading/ Submitting" songs for years now and my acceptance record is pretty low. As I'm sure most peoples is.
What sometimes happens... I submit a song... it gets the boot... somebody else suggest it months later... it gets added.
Again, I've been a bad boy... so I'll accept the punishment. {#Lol}
You see... I'm one of the reasons why they implemented the 10 song limit. {#Doh}

You can't beat this station.
Where else will anybody give you a chance to program some of the music?

Votes (likes/dislikes) have zero effect on whether a song gets added to the playlist. None. The submissions function is provided for two things:
  1. To let you suggest songs to RP. RP will check it out, eventually, and add it, reject it, or leave it and come back later (or never) to decide. I think that sometimes, a few uploads from a band might get rejected but RP becomes aware of the artist and adds their music via their usual channels.
  2. To let other listeners check out music you like, and provide feedback via comments or voting.
