Using your logic, Ivanka and Jared were never elected officials either! Sucks about double standards, no?
Anyways. Always fun to see the loudest and angriest are good at regurgitating the nastiest of stories and innuendo, while failing to engage even basic levels of skepticism, nor do the simplest of own research.
Now don't read this link below ... it likely won't fit your worldview.
Meanwhile, the wheels of justice continue to slowly turn.
The article more fits Steely's worldview than it does yours. From the article: "Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump reported between $172 million and $640 million in outside income while working in the White House". Everyone knows that advisor salaries don't rise to that level. Are you going to make the case that that amount ($172 million and $640 million) was not at all impacted based on trading on the influence of the positions that they held? The article you link to certainly doesn't try to debunk that.
No. Hunter Biden was never an elected official. He was not installed in the White House as a a "senior advisor" along with his spouse. This hysteria about Hunter is a simple minded deflection from the horrible things that Ivanka and Jared did while in the White House because of nepotism. And that sort of high-level chicanery is absolutely unrelated to anyone's pearl-clutching about Biden's son.
I idea that they personally made more than half a BILLION dollars while installed as their daddy's help may not raise an eyebrow now, but it absolutely should.

Just how dirty are Joe & Hunter ? Here's the deets on their infamous escapade in Ukraine, from William Shipley aka Shipwreckedcrew â " a "Retired" AUSA 22+ years, last 8 as a criminal defense attorney".
1) Putinâs invasion of Ukraine last year will go down in history as one of the biggest fuckups & biggest miscalculations ever made by a major figure on the worldâs stage.
2) Joe Bidenâs response to Putinâs invasion, Bidenâs strong defense of Ukraine, and Bidenâs leadership in assembling a unified worldwide coalition to stand WITH Ukraine and stand AGAINST Russia will go down in history as one of the greatest defenses of freedom & sovereignty ever put together on the worldâs stage.
Why would he be busy with this? It's really her that's busy and wasting taxpayer dollars on her adolescent pettiness.
(And, I would so much rather that Congress spend its time addressing education, housing, food insecurity, health care - instead of this pathetic dance. At some point Dems, Independents, and reasonable Republicans are gonna need to pick up the big fish.)
Nothing Lauren Boebert does would concern Biden. Republicans will do nothing these 2 years with the house that isn't Kabuki.
Kurt, that crap about Joe pushing to get a Ukrainian prosecutor fired because he was supposedly investigating Burisma too hard is still crap. It was debunked a long time ago.
When you regurgitate BS like this you really damage your credibility. It really does feel like Whac-a-mole with you.
You know... you talk about the damage that all of the drugs coming across the southern do to families and then appear to have absolutely zero empathy for the train wreck that is Hunter Biden. He's a total mess. He is a series of bad decisions. Instead of acknowledging his situation and appreciating how difficult it must be on everyone around him, he became the centerpiece of a series of attacks on Joe.
What are the chances that a drug addict with a powerful father uses him as leverage to get money, drugs, or whatever? Pretty high? That doesn't mean that Joe knows when he's doing it, and it certainly doesn't mean Joe's involved. Just because Hunter says "make sure we save XX% for the big guy" doesn't mean his father had anything to do with it. It's probably a way for Hunter to get a bit extra out of people for his own purposes. I assume you can appreciate this, but acknowledging that would limit the damage that you can do to Joe... even if it's not correct.
*If you know any families who have been through drug addiction, then you know that the parents rarely know what's going on. Instead of seeing Burisma as a way to make money, it's quite possible that Joe thought "Finally something to make him clean up his act". Joe Biden's history suggests that he's an emotional and caring person. He doesn't have a history of screwing people over for money and blaming them for everything. He's the antithesis of our last President.
To date, there is no real evidence of Joe's involvement other than to try to help his troubled son. Using Hunter for political gain is cruel, and yet another thing that will likely come back to bite the Republicans in the ass on election day. Time will tell.
Ah, Hunter is a victim, not a bad guy. Check.
* We have a different context on that based upon Joe's using a Billion $'s to blackmail Ukraine into firing a prosecutor angling in on Hunter.
I guess we need better censors to keep inconvenient material from seeing the light of day. Like the post I made below regarding the Biden text.
They tried so hard to keep Biden's laptop kept secret and discredited any mention of it. It took two years to allow the CT theory to finally be admitted as reality.
And you'll still defend Joe's statements that he never had any knowledge or interactions with Hunter's business affairs.

I wouldn't say I get upset with your lack of links, I'm just constantly shocked that some of the stuff you say is actually written by people on the internet for others to see.

Thanks. I just asked for a link to what you posted, not something else that you had to go look for, sheesh. I routinely make sure that anything I quote or image I use in a post has a link to it. You do not. And you get upset when one is requested. A double standard.
You're right... I could probably add a link, but honestly, since you can see the links in the HTML editor I generally forget.

And besides, your list of acceptable sites is very small. You do not allow many legitimate sources as valid ones.
The NYT and WAPO are not the only places to find legitimate information. Even they have their own problems with honesty.
I refer to more sites than WaPo and NYT but they are generally reliable and do re-examine their articles when confronted with oversights, inaccuracies, etc.
Kurt wrote: " I routinely make sure that anything I quote or image I use in a post has a link to it. " I really doubt this. It's hard enough to get you to provide evidence for Many of your claims.
Opinions are not quotes. There is a difference.

The "world" disagrees with me ? How about a link to this poll. Are the participants from all countries around the world or just Americans (being that it is Gallup) ? And how about the same poll going back say to Carter ?
So I'm tempted to respond with a "Kurt-esque" rebuttal like "I'm not your research monkey"... but the facts are on my side. https://news.gallup.com/poll/3... 116 countries. Who gives a shit about Carter?

If so, please read the chain again. I was scurrilously accused of deliberately passing russian (sic) disinformation. I addressed that and then islander wanted me to address something else he brought up, something separate from what he accused me of. So I in so many words to him to eff off and find it himself.
