I must admit it rather turned me off to reading the books, though I do understand they are excellent. I haven't watched the TB minisodes cuz they want all kinds of private info to sign up just to watch them and I am not willing. They shouldn't need any info from you just to watch them but in any case you can just make up a name-but you do need a valid email address.....Anyway try going to www.hbo.com and select True Blood from the Series link and then click on the picture of whichever character you want to watch and it will go to full screen. They do have a lot of streaming issues with the minisodes though...even on my Mac....it interrupts for a sec since it is streaming from their site, possibly due to so many people hitting the site? It happens in the beginning of the video and then irons out on my Mac. Here's another link to the Season 3 Video 2 http://www.hbo.com/#/video/index.html See if that works for you

No, the Sookie Stackhouse series of novels are not great but probably more in depth than Twilight...but they do lay the ground work for the inventive and creative mind of Alan Ball who directs True Blood. Don't bother with the Twilight books or movies...like I said I was so bored I walked out. Unlike Twilight, the True Blood charachters...actually have some background, some depth...and definietly some intricate complicities. Have you seen the TB Season 3 trailer? I've been following every minisode, podcast, and interview just to keep myself going!
TB also has a Facebook page.....
I've been an Ann Rice NUT since a friend first gave me Interview with the Vampire (excellent in both book and movie) and if you enjoy good well researched intelligent literature of a fantasy and superanatural nature, check out her stuff .........http://www.annerice.com/index.htm I read practically everything she wrote including The Vampire Cronicles, The Lives of The Mayfair Witches and even the Sleeping Beauty series-whoo boy...you want adult? Read the Sleeping Beauty series. She's also got some excellent Christian stuff...tho as you know I am not the Christian type. All her books are worth the read.

Me? Pant Pant, chomping at the bit for Season 3 of TRUE BLOOD which starts NEXT SUNDAY...... (even though I read all the books)
LOVE IT LOVE IT.............. anyone out there interested in convo's about the show when it starts??
(PS...when I saw Twilight-the movie I thought it was so boring I almost walked out!!)
I am waiting with baited breath... I love True Blood! I have not read any of the Sookie Stackhouse novels, not sure that I would care to. Adolescent fiction aren't they? Whereas the HBO show is pure adult entertainment. And I have never seen a Twilight episode (movie?)... as they appear to be very adolescent in appeal. Nothing wrong with that, per se... it is just tht I am an adult. The ending was the soap. Sookie was may as well have been channeling Victoria from Dark Shadows. And, seriously? They expect us to believe that someone was able to successfully sneak up on a vampire? I'm insulted.
