I watched the last episode of season 2 last night (of course) and thought once again...I think the Queen of Lousiana is such a self serving BI-OTCH!! She has no interest in anything but her own pleasures....no interest in her "realm" whatsoever. I wonder how and if they will expand her character in Season 3?

Also I hear they have a new Loreena, can't wait to see her....I thought the other one was pretty dam evil and good.

Hey fellow True Blood fans......
Check out this most excellent article about WHY TRUE BLOOD KICKS TWILIGHT'S ASS....
Its a worthwhile and funny read........

Me?  Pant Pant, chomping at the bit for Season 3 of TRUE BLOOD which starts NEXT SUNDAY......
(even though I read all the books)

LOVE IT LOVE IT..............
anyone out there interested in convo's about the show when it starts??

(PS...when I saw Twilight-the movie I thought it was so boring I almost walked out!!)

I haven't read the True Blood books, but I find the show entertaining. I am not a fan of Twilight; I read the books but thought they were very juvenile overall (very teen romancy, if that description makes sense). I watched the first movie and regretted wasting my time with it; horrible acting, no real plot...just horribly dull overall.

yeah, the movie sucked but I attributed that to the actors.  It was like they were just reading lines.  Everyone I know who has read the books say they're excellent and the movies don't compare whatsoever.

I'm so exciting about next Sunday!

p.s.  sorry I haven't gotten back to you...busy at work and a busy weekend.

that's right! actually, we don't have HBO since the move, either. we'll see what we can do about watching them online, too.

Yes, I think she lost alot of people then., but dispite my dislike of anything that taste of Jesus, I am sure the read would be a good one. I am considering her recent book Angel Time when I get some spending cash.

A Catholic church deacon I know loves the True Blood series and Charlene Harris' Sookie Stackhouse novels and appreciated Rice's Jesus trilogy.  He said the books made him feel like he was there with Jesus.  (just thought that was interesting)

No, the Sookie Stackhouse series of novels are not great but probably more in depth than Twilight...but they do lay the ground work for the inventive and creative mind of Alan Ball who directs True Blood. Don't bother with the Twilight books or movies...like I said I was so bored I walked out. Unlike Twilight, the True Blood charachters...actually have some background, some depth...and definietly some intricate complicities. Have you seen the TB Season 3 trailer? I've been following every minisode, podcast, and interview just to keep myself going!

TB also has a Facebook page.....

I've been an Ann Rice NUT since a friend first gave me Interview with the Vampire (excellent in both book and movie) and if you enjoy good well researched intelligent literature of a fantasy and superanatural nature, check out her stuff
.........http://www.annerice.com/index.htm
I read practically everything she wrote including The Vampire Cronicles, The Lives of The Mayfair Witches and even the Sleeping Beauty series-whoo boy...you want adult? Read the Sleeping Beauty series. She's also got some excellent Christian stuff...tho as you know I am not the Christian type. All her books are worth the read.

I read all of AR's book and they were really interesting, but I lost interest in her when she started writing books about Jesus.
