Missed that thread entirely. (wasn't on the RAFT when I looked - so I thought it was fairly recent, OK? sheesh, mutter grumble ) Oh, Callum. There is so much that is wrong with so much testing of children, and the idea of wanting to test four year olds just chills my soul. Call me an old fashioned idealist, but where is the space for teachers to teach, and children to enjoy learning? Bah. / parental witterings*Edit* Whoops, wildly off topic. But weird things going on with the text layout - seperation of lines ain't working

I'd like to live in my home town of Hillsborough, CA. I can't afford to live there, but if I could, I would.
I've spent almost my entire life living pretty far from my extended family. When my dad was still alive we would visit them often. I still visit, but less often than I'd like. I've become so sick and tired of the skyrocketing crime rate and cost of living in the Chicago area, that I'm seriously considering moving to New Mexico so I can be near the relatives who I'm the closest to.
I'd already be there if not for my mom, who steadfastly refuses to leave the tony North Shore lifestyle that she covets so. Since I'm the only child, that leaves me in a bind, since I'm her only close relative, and the only relative within a 1000 mile radius.
