Love exists in and of itself.
It is the creative best of what it is to be human.

Hatred only exists if it's fed.

Yes. The elimination from frequent vocabulary usage removes the thoughts associated with the word and increases the intelligence to form other thoughts and words associated with the emotion which, as relates to other persons or people is going to be a positive development if the intent to be a part of a better world is actually there. Hatred is not anger. It's not the opposite of love. It is the opposite of life itself. Hatred is the end of the world in practice.

IOW a person can hate getting up to go to work every day, but if they also hate other people for whatever the reasons real or imagined, then what difference will a job make if you were to die with hatred in your heart.

Seems the young man has made quite the cottage industry out of having been “cancelled.”

Give it a name so you can condemn it in shorthand. And because "holding people accountable for their actions" doesn't fit the headline.

Yea in the south, you don't even notice it, it is so ubiquitous.

In Pittsburgh, we use “yinz.”

I visited my brother in Steel City back in 80s, and he had to explain to me what his neighbor meant by "Yinz gawn dawntawn?" Great place, though the air still made your eyes sting back then.

For sure.  I should have added "from those who didn't grow up with its common use".  It's the affectation, obviously, that irritates now.

I know what you mean.  I do hear it or see it written out pretty often (even here), by people who are not from The South - which is fine but it can be mildly irritating after a while, but whatever - I guess some people enjoy using it.  On the other hand, I've lived in NC for over 25 years and I almost never use the term.  SirD is correct, of course; it's so commonly used in The South (and not as an affectation) that you don't even notice it.
"Methinks" is the term that really annoys me; worse than "whence" which most people use incorrectly 95% of the time anyhow.
