My sincere apologies for my behaviour today.  Life has been very complicated and it finally got to me.

When things get this complicated you can sometimes lash out on the people that you care the most about.

Time to take a break.

I reference your recent reply to me in the Todd Rundgren thread.  I'm posting this reply here so as to not foul the thread any further than has been already done.

and btw, if you properly read my reply to you, I never stated I lived in Bristol, just that IIRC it was TR's hometown.  If you had read it properly you probably would not have made the remark that you did about being a good reason to move away from Bristol Twp. Besides, things have changed much in the nearly 50 years since I have lived in the area.  The two bridges, one being the Burlington-Bristol Bridge and the other the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge which I used to get to the shore were the so called nickle bridges since they only cost 5¢ to cross back in the day.

I lived in Bensalem, NE Philly proper in those rowhouses that are bordered by Roosevelt Blvd., Woodhaven Rd and Liberty Bell racetrack and then up in Huntingdon Valley just to keep things straight.

Perhaps you might wish to go back and delete the offending line in your reply, eh ?

Before this century, women were the ones that did the grunt work and I never saw a problem with it. Frankly, as a handsome scoundrel, I honestly thought little of women except in regards "wipe my ___" or "suck my ___. " The great wazoo in all its wisdom, decided it was time I incarnated as one.  Angry and rebellious at first, then, mesmerized. Suddenly I found myself among those that bled, suckled and seduced. A realization of other kinds of power - on many levels. Early 60's and just getting this woman thing down. Not always pleasant, but neither is man's. Definitely want to put my order in for female in the next life.

And whatever skin tone is popular.

A predictable response.

Were you accused of trying to piss off / insult the entire community today ?  Based upon a misinterpretation of intent ?  An accusation that was doubled down on.

I remember when I misinterpreted your post on Barbara Bush's passing.  I acknowledged it and apologized, IIRC.

I don't expect anything like that headed my way any time soon.  Comes with the territory.  I get it.  It's ok.

Edit so as not to bump this up on the RAFT:  Now that my anger over this has subsided, I can get the rest of this out of my head.  I found the remarks made as a deliberate attempt to get me DD'ed.  The post claimed such outrage and offense on behalf of this community and claimed to speak on behalf of this community, that and the additional remarks that went above and beyond just objecting to my assumed intent really crystallized my conclusion.  And that is the conclusion I will make until told otherwise. This wild jump to conclusions about how I would deliberately try and offend this community tells me much about how my presence here is taken.  It is the last thing I would ever do.  I do not want to be thrown out.  When I do leave here, I want to leave peacefully and quietly without any big to do.  One day, I just won't be here anymore.

Now I cannot even participate in a non political thread without raising objections and questions of my intent.  My association with Trump has bred such hate and contempt towards me that it is hard to hold it back anymore and everything I do is viewed here with these thoughts in mind by more than a few (not all, but enough that I would say it) as stated in the posts I am referring to.  Trump supporters are being openly profiled and targeted, here and in the real world as exhibited by the events in DC this weekend and the Catholic school boys.  It's clearly now cool and considered justifiable to jump to conclusions and hate without knowing the whole story if a Trump supporter is involved.  Big Media drives this behaviour and they have too many willing followers.

Well it is really out in the open now.  This is not playing the victim.  It is just calling a spade a spade.

Now I can proceed with all of this out in the open and out of my head.

This stuff is getting old.  This presumption of playing the victim.

Let's clear this up.

Nothing could be further from the truth.  Y'all are interpreting my self deprecating remarks as acting butt hurt or playing the victim.

I'm just beating everyone to the punch and stealing your thunder knowing what more than likely will follow posts that are either against the political grain of this place or misinterpreted.

I do not have a thin skin.  If I did, I would have been long gone.  I'm not afraid to mock myself with self deprecating sarcasm.  I can take it.  But anyone who wishes to try and project a state of playing the victim on me or acting butt hurt by mocking myself with terms commonly applied to people who think as I do need to consider things differently.

As in the case here earlier today, I am not here to provoke or insult the community nor troll anyone.  Those who assume or presume that of me, well, you have it wrong. I was told that a post I made was a big FU to the community.  There was no other possible interpretation.  It kept up after I made a rebuttal showing it was not the case.  Two people insisted on taking it that way even after I made a post showing it was a characteristic thing of the person whose picture I posted, and not as an insult to the community.

I have been type cast and that will never go away or be undone no matter if I try to dispel that or not.  I gave up trying years ago.  So what you get instead is self deprecation.  It's easier.

So either get it or keep on telling me I'm playing the victim or acting butt hurt.  At this point I really don't care anymore.  Doesn't mean I won't defend my position(s) or try to explain them further, it just means that sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me.

Good day ... ymmv
