When you say "not seriously hurt," do you mean "broken legs but I'll live" or just "take two aspirin"? Does that car have side airbags? because that looks like it would mess up a driver.

Don’t even feel it today. That’s good - my usual speech to folks is that it takes about a week for the muscles to respond to the abrupt strain, like a really heavy yard work day that you feel later.

No airbag deployment for me, the driver that hit two cars head on, or the other person that was struck initially. Strange.

And, did no one notice that I said that I have the coolest license plate? WILBURY dammit.

"WILBURY dammit."

Izzat a ref to these guys or...?

Can you use the wreck for target practice? That'd be cool.

Someone ran a red light at full speed, struck another car in the intersection, then veered off to ram me while I was stopped about to turn. Just me in the car, and none of us seriously hurt. But, man, I loved that Volt (license plate - WILBURY) and they're not making new ones.

WoW! Glad no one was hurt. Did the idiot at least stop and wait for the police?

Yeah, she had just left her final appointment after treatment for breast cancer. Was so upset that she’d hit two cars. I spent my time reassuring her that, ultimately, it was like when someone knocks over your garbage can - it’s a mess, and it’ll take some time to clean it up, but ultimately no one was hurt.

I hope she overcomes whatever the cancer and treatment has thrown at her. That whole experience must have been a roller coaster of emotions for you.

Thanks. Me too. Wife, especially glad since she still can’t figure out the Logitech to turn on the TV. Losing me would sting.

I, too, am sleeping with Tech Support. I feel her fear.

My fear, though, is that our ancient "all in one super duper programmed remote for TV/DVD" goes bye bye. The spouse is not thrilled about that possibility either.

If our ancient Logitech music thingie dies, I can wire the speakers into my laptop. I can handle it. I can handle it.

Generous of you to say. I remember a boss of mine from a while back (incidentally while I was in treatment for bc), after I'd botched a system-wide fix (which was quickly recitified, but still...my job...) said, "Look C - nobody died today."

True enough. But that like $50/k minute in delayed sales was still a sting.

Apropos of nothing. Just made me remember perspective. Lost a friend to a tipsy driver back in '74, at the age of 19. Walking her bike across a bridge over the Shark River Inlet.

Glad you're okay.

Aw. Poor Wheezie.

And, now that we're home ... (and the barometric pressure is going up!) ... poof ... like magic, she's normal again!
When we got out of the car she beelined it for the house and so I decided to get myself ready to just take a walk without her like I did yesterday. I put away some work stuff, and when I came out she was in the living room. So, I thought, I'd give it a try and if she balked outside the house, I'd put her back in, and walk alone. But, NO-OO. She was in full on, normal walking mode. I'm glad, of course, but man. What a struggle this whole weekend was! Maybe I need to watch the barometric pressure more closely like BHD suggested.

Spoke too soon. She just had a meltdown when I tried to take her out to pee. It was ugly.

Clearly, Antigone, if you'd watched "Gilmore Girls" you would have gained uplift and inspiration from Lorelai's adoption and eventually near-slavish accommodation of an endlessly neurotic and fussy dog.

You'd also would have learned to not name your dog Paul Anka as it can lead to sitcom impasses when the human Paul Anka comes on your show. Good luck with your TV pilot and kooky lovebug.

His problem is he can ace the quizzes without doing the work. Which is exactly how I got thru high school. They're all multiple choice with this covid program and when he hesitates I just say "eliminate the wrong answers first" and half the time there's only one still standing. "Has to be that one." Next.

Whoa! Keep us posted on the pressure thingie with her. I bet it is a HUGE trigger for her, regarding your weather.

I gave her two CBD tabs today, one this morning and then one later, but they didn't seem to actually help. I'll keep giving them to her, since I've got a couple bottles, but ...
