Spent this morning (hours) exploring OmegaMart. WTAF was that?

Then, caught the Silk Sonic show at the Park MGM residency. Holy mother of God that was exactly what you want in a show. Brilliant musicianship, well crafted songs, fun stage presence - real pros. Loved it.

One interesting thing.
The "Daytona" I'm building is a clone. Can't afford a real one since they originally built about 503 of them.
But even the clones out there are commanding the bigger bucks.
And one's that are modified, which aren't that many, are bringing in surprisingly big money.
So. I tells the wife here... "This is an investment."

We love our Durango and Challenger
My daughter loves her Challenger T/A SRT. Vicious car for not being a Hellcat.
My son loves his Dodge short bed, pick up with a 5.7. AND roll up windows. A little hot rod it is. Oh and his '41 Power Wagon too.

My restoration days are still continuing. My son got busy with his own fabricating work. So my Daytona's heavy metal work came to a standstill. Still waiting on the Daytona kit I ordered from Janik last November... supply issues. Should be here within a month. My son said he plans on wrapping up my car in a month. He wants it out of his shop. We'll see.

It's hard to get commitments from people sometimes. Everybody what's something for free... me too! But...

Yup I should have clarified that. I agree past 10 has been a nice turnaround for Dodge. The big 3 had crap after 1974 and for 20+ years.
Had a 1952 dodge truck flat head v8 that I turned into a our body shop tow truck with a hand crank setup. 😂

My first car, 1973 Cudá with a 340 and only had it for 6 months until we found it had its odometer was turned back 50k. My 2nd car was my favorite 1974 Charger 318 which I had until a month after my mom passed 2015. Gave the guy my rusting Charger for $1 and the rare louvered he I hood which was rusted down the side but repairable. I was just praying the car wouldn’t split in half as we pushed it out the driveway and onto his trailer. He never paid me the buck. ðŸ˜‚

The only Charger I really missed out on by an hour was a 1966 fastback with the 4 bucket seats and if I remember correctly a 383. So the only heavy metal I have left in the garage is a 68’ 340 block and a 72’ 360 the rest of my bulk is carbs, chrome intakes, 72’ hideaway headlight with the metal Louvered rear bumper, Rally Dashes etc. Got rally wheel rims I’m about to toss if the rust is not cleanable or safe.
I’ll never do another restoration for the rest of my life. The body just won’t allow it.
When I had the shop with my buddy we limited our selves to 60’s and 70’s muscle with custom paint jobs. I was Mopar and GM and he was Ford and GM. As you know a lot of hard back breaking work.

And it’s hard sometimes to get cash for unique custom work done. Everybody wants stuff for nothing like you said. Hard to pry that wallet open wide enough.

Yup most all my Mopar stock is 74’ and older. IMHO They didn’t make anything worth chit after that.

So I’ve been starting to categorize what’s still viable and what was junk. Mostly I dealt with small block. Trashed a couple of seized up alternators, worn plastics and starters the past few weeks. My days of restorations are far in my rear view mirror. I get guys who say their interested in that and never fall through for a look or offer.
