Info for RP peep's: I just heard Death cab for Cutie and wondered if people knew that the name comes from a number by The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band on the Beatle's 'Magical Mystery Tour' movie and album. The Bonzo's play with George and John in the audience. Also Ivor Cutler. Hysterically funny which isn't surprising considering it's Viv and the boys. See it on youtube if it's still there.

Yep. The guy in the bottom left is their keyboard player, Ken Trujillo, who owns the piano store here where I consigned my piano yesterday, hence me finding out about the band. They cut one album on Capital in 1970, which had 6-7 songs written by both Neil Young and Stephen Stills during their Buffalo Springfield era. Those songs have never been recorded any other place and are thought to be B.S. demos. The album is known in some circles as "the lost Buffalo Springfield album". Yellow Hand was received with good reviews but nonetheless disappeared after this album.
I'll give you credit since you're old enough to perhaps have heard of them. Unless you Googled. I figure the point of this thread is to brain tease music lovers, not test the speed of our search engines. Otherwise we'd have to find bands that we should know but have never been photographed I guess ;)

Are they a Denver band? What I usually do is Google my guesses to see if I'm anywhere near it.
