Sounds similar to Biko's bout with constipation a few weeks back. Getting some kitty grass really helped.

i had no idea. no hairball. he's not horking or trying to. i can't tell what he's doing. maybe straining. i'm going to watch him closely today. if it's not different tomorrow, off to the vet.

i think my boy murr is under the weather. he looked like he was having some issues in the litter box just now. and when he got out, i think i surprised him, and he hissed at me. he never does. then he seemed to have issues cleaning himself. i'm going to see how he does the rest of today, and if he still seems odd, i'll take him to the vet tomorrow. poor guy. sigh. this isn't good timing (not that it ever is) i'm going home this weekend to pittsburgh. also, i can't remember (jrzy? anyone?) like dogs, is it normal for a cats nose to be a little moist? or is it supposed to be dry. maybe he has a cold.
